TF-CBT is a gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for childhood trauma, endorsed by SAMHSA and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. It involves both the child and a caregiver in structured, skills-based sessions over 12–16 weeks.
Yes, when done properly. TF-CBT is specifically designed to process traumatic memories safely and gradually. Counselors are extensively trained to prevent re-traumatization.
A parent or trusted caregiver participation is a core component of TF-CBT. This is not optional — research shows outcomes are significantly better when caregivers are actively involved.
Children often express trauma through behavior, not words. Our therapists are trained to recognize and address trauma responses without forcing children to verbalize experiences before they are ready.
Faith provides a profound framework for healing — lament, forgiveness, redemption, community, and hope. Scripture and prayer are offered as healing resources throughout the therapeutic process.
Absolutely. All sessions follow strict confidentiality and safety protocols. Mandatory reporting requirements are always upheld. Your child’s physical and emotional safety is our top priority.
No child should navigate mental health challenges alone. We are here for your family.
