Parents and children attend a brief orientation session to meet the counselor and set expectations.
Your child begins their healing journey. Progress check-ins are scheduled at weeks 2, 4, and 8.
Each day includes structured counseling sessions, outdoor activities (nature walks, sports, art), morning devotionals, group discussions, and evening worship. Campers leave equipped with tools for lasting emotional health.
Summer Healing Camp runs in July, hosted at a partner facility in the Houston area. Specific dates and location are published each spring at ikonkids.org/our-events/.
The camp is designed for children with mild to moderate mental health challenges. Children requiring intensive clinical care may be better served by our 1:1 counseling program.
We maintain a 1:4 counselor-to-camper ratio at all times. All staff are background-checked, CPR-certified, and trained in trauma-informed care.
Thanks to our donors, camp fees are heavily subsidized. We offer full scholarships for qualifying families. No child is excluded due to financial need.
Registration opens in March each year through our website. Visit ikonkids.org/our-events/ or contact us at the link below to be notified when registration opens.
