Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ADHD Support Program offer?

The program includes structured skills training for children (focus, organization, impulse control), parent coaching sessions, school coordination support, and faith-based affirmation of each child’s unique strengths.

Does Ikon Kids prescribe medication for ADHD?

No. Ikon Kids is not a medical provider. We provide behavioral and emotional support. Medication decisions should be made with your child’s pediatrician or psychiatrist.

How does a faith-based approach help children with ADHD?

We teach children that God designed them with unique gifts. Many children with ADHD show extraordinary creativity, energy, and empathy. We help them steward these gifts while developing practical coping skills.

Will my child be in a class with other ADHD children?

Yes. Small groups of 4–6 children with similar age ranges provide peer understanding and reduce stigma. Children often feel deeply validated hearing others share similar experiences.

How do parents participate?

Parents attend bi-weekly coaching sessions alongside the child program. We teach parents the same skills their children are learning, creating consistency at home and school.

Is this program appropriate for children who have not received an ADHD diagnosis?

Yes. Children displaying ADHD-like symptoms (attention challenges, impulsivity, hyperactivity) may benefit even without a formal diagnosis. We can also help families navigate the diagnostic process.
