The workshop addresses generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety, separation anxiety, specific phobias, school refusal, and performance anxiety. It is not designed for children in acute crisis.
Children learn thought challenging (cognitive restructuring), relaxation techniques (deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation), gradual exposure, behavioral activation, and positive self-talk.
Scripture offers profound resources for anxiety — Philippians 4:6-7, Matthew 6:34, Isaiah 41:10. We teach children to use prayer, scripture meditation, and faith community as powerful anxiety-reduction tools.
Yes. Brief daily practices (5–10 minutes) reinforce session content. Parent coaching materials are provided to help families support practice at home.
For mild-to-moderate anxiety, this workshop may be sufficient. For severe anxiety, panic disorder, or OCD, we recommend individual therapy alongside or instead of the group format.
Anxiety often causes avoidance. Our counselors can advise parents on motivating reluctant children. A pre-visit meet-and-greet with the facilitator is available for apprehensive kids.
No child should navigate mental health challenges alone. We are here for your family.
