Music therapy is a clinical health profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs. It is evidence-based and conducted by board-certified music therapists (MT-BC).
No. Music therapy is not performance-based. Children participate at their own level — from simply listening and moving to music, to playing simple percussion instruments or writing lyrics.
Music therapy supports children with anxiety, depression, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, grief, and behavioral challenges.
Sessions may incorporate worship music, hymns, or scripture-based lyrics as a source of comfort and hope. This is always done sensitively based on each child’s and family’s preferences.
Many children show improved mood, engagement, and communication within the first 4–6 sessions. Progress is monitored regularly by your therapist.
Coverage varies. Some Medicaid plans and private insurers cover music therapy when prescribed by a physician. We can provide documentation to support insurance claims.
No child should navigate mental health challenges alone. We are here for your family.
