Ikon Kids was founded in Houston, Texas out of a personal conviction that children’s mental health is one of the most urgent, under-resourced challenges facing families today. Our founders experienced firsthand the gap between the mental health needs of children and the resources available to families — especially those who wanted faith-integrated support alongside professional care.
What began as a small community program has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving hundreds of families across Houston and nationwide, with programs spanning Christian counseling, family workshops, youth support groups, parent coaching, crisis resources, and community events.
At Ikon Kids, faith is not an add-on — it’s foundational. We believe that God’s design for human flourishing includes emotional health, relational wholeness, and community belonging. Our Christian perspective informs everything we do: from the hope we offer to struggling families, to the compassion our team shows every child and caregiver, to the conviction that no family should face mental health challenges alone.
